Question of the Day

Why haven't more fast food restaurants followed McDonald's lead of offering any sized drink for a buck?

  1. Because sadly their drinks are the products in the store that bring the most profit. Most fast food places offer value menu items to get you in and make their income off the drinks and fries.

  2. I'm aware of the profit margin on fountain drinks. I still thought that someone else might do it even if it was for a limited time. McDonald's, I'm sure, is drawing in customers who come to just get fountain drinks that A. wouldn't have done so before and B. buying other food items they didn't originally intend on buying

  4. I thought the same thing the other day. McD did a great job. Grab a snack wrap while you getting the $1.00 drink, etc.. It was a great idea. It’s a good question and one that I do not have the answer to.

  5. I drove by BK the other day and it seems they are offering large sweet tea for a buck, but the sign didn't mention other drinks. Personally I dont want to go to BK to find out

  6. I think Steak-n-Shake offered ice tea for a buck this summer. Not sure if that's still the case.
